Auditorium and daily film shows Daily Film show on nature & wildlife from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon and 03:00 pm to 04:00 pm are star attractions for the public. In additions special film festivals, premiere of wildlife documentaries, lecture series, seminars and conferences are all conducted in the 70 seater air conditioned facility
A dedicated Birdwatching tower and Eco-centre The museum is in the proximity of a large water body, the Karanji tank and the lake is home to a large variety of migrant birds. The birdwatching tower and the eco-centre is specifically designed to cater to the interests of the bird enthusiasts.
Touch, Feel & Learn Bio-resource Centre Sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, RMNH, Mysore has set in place a unique bio resource centre crafted to cater to the interests of the differently abled sections of the society. The facility helps the potential visitor to use the five sensory abilities on a cumulative manner which erases the shortfalls of the differently abled in experiencing nature.
Nakshathravana and Medicinal gardens The rich heritage of the country and the traditional knowledge is encompassed in the Nakshatravana and medicinal garden spaces designed and integrated into the complex.
Visitor facilities The museum is equipped with proper parking area, drinking water, wheel chair facility and accessibility modules for differently abled persons. It is also equipped with conference rooms, the largest library for books on nature in Mysore, a guest house and dormitory complex capable of accommodating 50+ individuals
